CRAFT IN ACTION
Since 1764, Baccarat has upheld an exceptional heritage of craftsmanship. Shaped by both eye and hand, each piece is unique. Whether minimalist or extravagant, refined or richly cut, every creation is born from a subtle tension between emotion and creative freedom. With a remarkable diversity of talents, the Manufacture brings together over fifty métiers dedicated to creation, including twelve Meilleurs Ouvriers de France - the highest number among French Maisons - as well as two Chevaliers des Arts et des Lettres.

SPIRIT OF THE COLLECTIVE
Baccarat was born from a collective of artisans who perfected the formula for creating the world’s purest crystal. Within the ateliers of the Manufacture, each craft embodies a key step in the transformation of the material. From molding to cutting, engraving to gilding, artisans combine their talents in a perfectly choreographed ballet of gestures. This collective intelligence - driven by passion, attentiveness, and transmission of knowledge - is Baccarat’s true strength. To ensure the continuity of its savoir-faire, the Maison trains new generations in its in-house school, where each year, future professionals are awarded the title Meilleur Apprentis de France.
PIONEERING CREATIVITY
A pioneer from the very beginning, Baccarat was awarded the gold medal at the 1823 Exhibition of French Industry Products, in recognition of the exceptional purity of its crystal. In 1827, it became the first crystal Manufacture in France to present chandelier elements. That same spirit of innovation led to the launch of a colour program, resulting in an extensive chromatic palette. In 1843, the legendary golden red was born - a hue achieved by gradually fusing clear crystal with 24-carat gold at a precise temperature of 540°C. Alongside the artisans, a dedicated team supports the continuous evolution of techniques, materials, and processes, placing innovation at the service of creation. Today, by combining ancestral know-how with the most advanced technologies, the Manufacture continues its pursuit of excellence while actively working toward a more sustainable future.
