This bold and poetic interpretation of the legendary winged horse takes shape in a spectacular sculpture standing 77.3 cm tall. Captured in a moment of majestic motion, the crystal horse is sculpted from a single block, a technical feat achieved through the prowess of a Meilleur Ouvrier de France and Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres at the Baccarat Manufacture. Drawing on the combined talent of several artisans, each piece requires a unique mold and many hours of hand-cutting to reveal its luminous power. The horse’s wings, fully adorned with real feathers — 290 goose feathers and 330 duck plumes — are the result of the rare expertise of Maison Lemarié. Carefully selected, trimmed, shaped, and individually assembled by hand, the feathers lend the piece an astonishingly ethereal lightness. The supporting armature was entrusted to Maison Goossens, a renowned goldsmith and haute couture jeweler. Dipped in 24-carat gold and delicately patinated, it contrasts beautifully with the brilliance of the crystal and enhances the sculpture’s elegance.
