Within the Baccarat Manufacture, crystal comes to life through the talent and audacity of a collective of artisans, among whom twelve are Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and two are Knights of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Rare creations, uniting the rigor of gesture with creative freedom, Haute Cristallerie brings together re-editions of historic pieces and reinterpretations of icons, including the Tsar’s glass, part of the Maison’s permanent collection since 1909.

A field of creation and innovation, color gets expressed through a palette of savoir-faire unique to each piece: colored in the mass, double-cased, or achieved using the technique known as "rougissage". Mastering color —an exacting technical challenge— stands as one of the ultimate expressions of Baccarat’s craftsmanship. Depending on the thickness of the crystal, subtle nuances, gradations and plays of reflection emerge, revealing the unique character of every creation. 

These six creations, limited re-editions of pieces mostly presented at major international exhibitions, embody the quintessence of know-how passed down from generation to generation. In the workshops of the Manufacture, glassblowers, cutters, engravers and gilders work in synchronicity to shape objects of absolute purity. Beyond the formal challenges imposed by the material, each of these pieces captures the spirit of an era while affirming Baccarat’s openness to aesthetic influences from around the world.
